13)    What if I do not perform many pancreaticoduodenectomies per year?
a)    PARANOIA has been made for the user. The main aim is to provide you with a tool to critically appraise your outcomes. If you do not perform many PD per year, it will take a little longer to build your CUSUM plot. It is very important you input every case to obtain a true assessment of your outcomes.
b)    In terms of authorship, PARANOIA is a truly inclusive collaborative group. There is no minimum set for the number of cases for authorship.

14)    What if I want to run a study through PARANOIA, how do I do this?
a)    On the PARANOIA website, go to “Important Documents” download the “Project Proposal form” fill this in and email it to paranoiastudy@gmail.com
b)    Your project proposal will be reviewed by the PARANOIA Steering Committee and if deemed of significant clinical relevance and feasible through the PARANOIA platform, we will help you facilitate this project.
c)    All studies through PARANOIA need to be published with corporate authorship under “PARANOIA Study Group”.

15)    How do I get my CUSUM?
a)    For a meaningful CUSUM plot, a minimum of 60 cases needs to be inputted. We will therefore not release the CUSUM until the registry is more established.

Tips & Tricks

1. Shortcut on your phone homepage

- If you add RECap as a shortcut onto your homepage, you save your login details and you can add your patient / operation details really quickly. Only takes a couple of seconds!

2. Reminder emails

- If you add the operation/ patient details at the time of surgery, it will automatically calculate a reminder to be sent to your email account at 14, 30, 60 and 90 days post-op. The link will take you directly to the case.

3. No time to input data?

- If you get your team to register as part a meta-data team, they can add cases for you onto your account  or add to optional studies on your account. You need to specify what permission level you are happy to give your team.
